Commission an original oil painting

Keeping Stories Alive Through Art

A commissioned painting can capture the people you love, a meaningful place, a shared passion, or a special part of your life. Rather than simply reproducing a photograph, I create a new composition around the story and ideas behind each commission.

I create original oil paintings that are personal, thoughtfully composed, and made to last. Every commission is approached as a narrative, whether it is a portrait, a family scene, or a larger story unfolding within a particular place. You don’t need to have the whole painting figured out—I can take your ideas and develop them into a finished work of art.

We begin with a simple conversation about what you would like in your painting or who you would like it to feature. From there, I develop the concept and composition and provide a quote based on the size you select.

If you decide to proceed, a 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your commission.

I then arrange a photoshoot on location, creating my own reference specifically for the painting. This allows me to carefully consider the composition, lighting, setting, poses, and details needed to bring the concept to life. I then return to my studio to create the finished oil painting.

My role is to take the ideas and stories you bring to me and thoughtfully shape them into a compelling work of art. Whether you are commissioning a portrait, a family scene, a meaningful place, or a moment built around a shared passion, the finished painting is an original work with a story behind it—something to live with, enjoy, and pass down for generations.

When the painting is complete, the remaining 50% is paid and the original artwork is yours.

If you are interested in commissioning a painting, I would love to hear from you.
